Free Warranty Extension for SolarEdge Systems
Free Warranty Extension for SolarEdge Systems*
Free of charge warranty extension for StorEdge-ready residential systems with SolarEdge Meter
From now until the end of this year, all SolarEdge residential inverters up to 15kW (*excluding the single-phase inverter with compact technology and the single-phase StorEdge inverter) that are connected to a SolarEdge meter will be entitled to a free-of-charge warranty extension for that inverter from 12 to 15 years.
Weighing up a free three year warranty extension and the benefits that an energy meter against the initial outlay of the unit is a no-brainer for the homeowner.
To be eligible, installers must register the system in the SolarEdge monitoring platform. For all qualifying systems, the distributor will automatically be sent the extended warranty certificate for the inverter and the registered email addresses associated with each qualifying site will automatically be notified.
Why Install an Energy Meter?
In order to maximise self-consumption every PV system owner should consider adding battery storage.
It’s especially vital with the end of the FiT looming. Yet the cost of storage can be off-putting, so by adding SolarEdge energy meter the homeowner can get data to prove that storage is a worthwhile expenditure.
A SolarEdge Smart Inverter combined with a SolarEdge Energy Meter gives full insight into levels of electricity produced by the system, as well as household consumption 24 hours a day. From knowing how much and at what times a system is generating and consuming power, homeowners can make better use of energy produced by their solar system.
The energy meter also allows homeowners to add smart energy products to maximise self- consumption, now or in the future.
