- The integrated service package SMA Smart Connected for automated monitoring of battery inverters
Flexible System Design
Always optimally supplied with solar power—today, tomorrow and in the future
A PV system and the corresponding storage system is as unique as its user’s power consumption and home. Whether the family is growing, an electric car needs to be recharged, the garage is being turned into a workshop—up to three connectable high-voltage batteries supply all loads even when the sun is not shining.
New installation: PV system with battery storage
A storage system makes you independent from conventional power companies and rising energy costs. Thanks to high-voltage technology, storage systems with the Sunny Boy Storage are particularly efficient and easy to install.
Modernize: PV system with battery storage
To use even more self-generated solar energy in the home, an existing PV system can be expanded into a fully fledged storage system with just a few additional components. The operator further reduces the amount of electricity purchased from the grid and minimizes electricity costs.
Expand: Align a storage system with increasing demand
Thanks to multi-string technology, up to three high-voltage batteries can be connected to the Sunny Boy Storage anytime. This allows the storage system to be expanded gradually and adapted to individual needs.
Simple handling
Always up and running quickly with modern communications
- Easy installation
- Fast commissioning due to integrated web interface
- Always informed thanks to direct connection to Sunny Portal/Sunny Places
- Web-based UI: Always up and running quickly with modern communications
Reliable electricity supply
Reliable power supply–even in the event of grid failure
- Integrated Secure Power Supply provides electricity to individual loads manually from the battery even in the event of a grid failure
- Optionally with an automatic transfer switch for full power supply to the home from the battery and PV system on all three line conductors in the event of a grid failure
- Power in the battery-backup operation of up to 8 kW is sufficient for all standard loads
- 10-year warranty
With the high protection class IP65, it can withstand even harsh ambient conditions and is therefore also ideally suited for outdoor installation.
Perfectly matched storage solution
In the SMA Energy+ Solution, the Sunny Boy Storage temporarily stores electricity from the PV system in a battery. Combined with the Sunny Home Manager 2.0, energy flows in the home can be managed intelligently and electricity costs further reduced. Solar power can thus be used 24 hours a day.
