One Month to Consult on MCS Battery Storage Standard
One Month to Consult on MCS Battery Storage Standard. First announced in February this year, the consultation is open for stakeholders to have their say. The Microgeneration Scheme has published a draft of new certification for battery energy storage systems.
MIS:3012 specifies requirements for MCS contractors undertaking the supply, design, installation, set to work, commissioning and handover of electrical energy storage systems.
The new standard is to be used alongside the existing MCS 001 scheme document as well as “any other guidance and/or supplementary material” on its website, the MCS said.

At 0Bills we encourage everyone going fully DIY energy independent. There is absolutely no need for an expensive MCS certified professional charging customers thousands of pounds to have a solar pv and/or an energy storage system installed on their property. Every DIY person can do it; or if not confident enough a qualified electrician can easily do it. This is valid for all the countries. Almost all packages are plug-n-play these days. #mcs #solarpv #energystorage
