Multi award winning Daikin Altherma Hybrid 8kW Heat Pump HYBRID05B33 combines the high performance LT Split refrigerant heat pump with a condensing gas combi boiler.

A renewable energy solution which offers and running cost savings for high heat load homes with LPG or mains gas. The system has external refrigerant piping and installers require F-gas certification. With flow temperatures up to 80°C, existing radiators and pipework can be retained, to reduce disruption. Incorporating advanced technology that automatically monitors the system temperatures, it considers the gas and electricity price to automatically maximize system efficiency and running cost savings. It chooses between three modes of operation (1) Heat pump only (2) hybrid mode, and (3) boiler only mode. The boiler can also be combined with domestic hot water storage for applications with a higher hot water demand.

The Daikin Altherma Hybrid Heat Pump Pack 8kW HYBRID05B33 is a renewable energy solution ideal for householders who prefer to retain familiar boiler technology. MCS accredited and eligible for the domestic Renewable Heating Incentive (dRHI). Pack includes heat pump, boiler and controller. Order RHI heat meters separately.

A heat pump is a versatile, efficient cooling and heating system. Thanks to a reversing valve, a heat pump can change the flow of refrigerant and either heat or cool a home. Air is blown over an evaporator coil, transferring heat energy from the air to the refrigerant.

Heat pumps do not operate as efficiently when temperatures drop to between 25F (-4C) and 40 degrees Fahrenheit (+5C) for most systems. A heat pump works best when the temperature is above 40. Once outdoor temperatures drop to 40 degrees (+5C), heat pumps start losing efficiency, and they consume more energy to do their jobs.
