High Power and Flexible
Made with SunPower’s highest power back contact cells, SunPower’s flexible panels deliver the highest power output and the highest charging capacity in their product class. SunPower‘s SPR-E-Flex 50W panels are constructed with top-grade, light-weight polymer materials, allowing for easy transport, installation and panel flexing up to 30 degrees.
Are Designed for Toughness and Flexibility
The SunPower Solar Cell is the only cell built on a solid copper foundation. Flexible panels made with SunPower cells are resistant to power loss via cracking and corrosion. SunPower flexible panels are the #1 choice for customers due of the combination of high power and cell ruggedness.
Made with SunPower’s highest-efficiency* Maxeon® solar cells, our portable solar panels deliver the most power and highest charging capacity in their product class. We manufacture each panel using a top-grade, lightweight polymer material, allowing for easy transport, installation, and flexibility up to 30 degrees. Each panel comes with MC4 male and female connectors that can connect easily to solar compatible devices. Connection cables are device-specific and sold separately.
Easy and Low Cost Installation
The panel can be installed with adhesives and/or use of stainless steel grommets in the panel. The panels have standard quickconnect cables. An easy-to-follow installation guide is provided with each panel. Warranty: 5 years limited power warranty of 80% of the minimum specified power rating. Designed in the USA. Assembled in France.
Totally portable
Weighing just above 1 kilo and flexible, the Sunpower portable solar panels can go almost anywhere, whether you are off-grid camping or simply want to be prepared in case of an emergency.

SunPower solar panels are the most efficient panels currently available on the market in the United States and one of the highest efficiency solar panels sold in Europe. While the majority of solar panels fall in the 14% to 18% efficiency range, SunPower’s products are much more efficient – between 16.5% and 22.8%.
In theory you can walk on any type of solar panel, but either you or the panel, or both, might not be very happy with the outcome! You definitely don’t want to walk on aluminum-framed glass panels, but other types are designed specifically to be walked on, like Solara’s Standard and Power M series or certain flexible solar modules made for caravans, boats and motor-homes.Can I walk on Sunpower flexible panels? No, SunPower does not recommend it. In SunPower flex modules, regular stepping can cause cell cracking and, while the cells maintain electrical connectivity, cracks can still lead to some power loss beyond the control of SunPower. Additionally, walking on the panels will void the warranty.Sunpower ` most of the high-efficiency panels use Maxeon cell technology, which is made at facilities in Malaysia and the Philippines. The cells are sent to facilities in Mexico and France where they’re assembled.
In general, the flexible panels are less durable, but solar manufacturers offer the same 5-year warranty on workmanship & 25 years on power output as their rigid panels. In general, the installation of flexible panels is going to be simpler than rigid, and put fewer holes in your roof.Based on the earlier calculation, a 100 watt panel will produce an average of about 30 amp-hours per day (based on an average sunny day). This means you would need three 100 watt solar panels or one 300 watt panel to fully recharge your battery on the average day.
A 12V battery needs at least 13.6 volts to charge, therefore under worst case conditions a solar panel needs to output at least 13.6 volts. This means that in perfect conditions a 12V solar panel may output around 17V or more.If your device has a cable with MC4 connections (a common electrical connector for solar panels), then it can be charged directly; however, we do not recommend this because it could be harmful to your devices and equipment and void warranties. Instead, we highly recommend charging a solar-compatible battery via a compatible charge controller, and then charging or powering your device from that charge controller and battery. This provides you with the flexibility to charge your device from virtually anywhere.
This will depend on your panel wattage, your battery watt-hour (Wh) capacity (a measurement of storage capacity) and the weather. A 150 Wh battery will charge faster than a 500 Wh battery because the 500 Wh battery has more storage capacity, therefore requiring more time to fully charge. In addition, a 100-watt panel will charge a battery faster than a 50-watt panel exposed to the same amount of sunlight.
Charging time will be affected by weather, shade, time-of-day, age and use of battery, efficiency of the charge controller, placement of the solar panels, and other operational factors. Be sure to look on your solar-compatible battery for an estimate of charging times as well as panel-wattage compatibility, and always check the charging characteristics of the battery to ensure it’s compatible with the wattage of the panel.
For higher battery capacity (greater than 150 Wh) we recommend using a 100-watt panel. Before doing this, however, please ensure that the battery you are charging is compatible with this wattage and use a compatible charge controller.
