Solax 3 Phase Hybrid Solar Inverter Benefits
“The SolaX 3PH hybrid range come equipped with an impressive array of features.” 0Bills offers the SolaX 3ph Hybrid in a range of sizes starting from 5.0kW up to 10kW. As standalone units these can deliver relatively high amounts of generation, but as hybrid inverters can be combined with up to 25kWh’s worth of storage per unit to provide a high capacity and quality combination of storage and generation power.

It’s possible to connect up to 10 of these hybrids together in parallel to reach a combined generation capacity of up to 100kWhs’. This can be balanced with the equivalent number of batteries per unit (so 4×6.3kWh batteries per unit) for a total system size of 100kW’s worth of generating power and 250kWh’s worth of storage.
The significant scope for expansion makes this an attractive prospect for systems needing up to 250kWh’s worth of storage.
Unique Feature
One exciting and unique feature brought by the SolaX 3ph range is that when it is installed in conjunction with its 3ph energy meter, it can actually be set up to discharge unequally across the 3 connected phases. This can be extremely useful on some 3ph sites of this size such as farms or small commercial businesses where there may be heavy usage on a particular phase and less on other phases.
In this scenario a SolaX 3ph hybrid would discharge into the phases that need it, when they need it, to ensure that energy isn’t discharged from the battery equally across all 3 phases and then exported back to the grid on the phases with no usage. This is an extremely important and beneficial feature as it allows a system to work intelligently and reactively in conjunction with energy usage on the property.
On top of this, the system also offers the same benefits that the standard single-phase variations also offer such as offering up to 10kW Max charge/discharge per inverter, along with being G100 compliant to limit export in line with the UK regulations. Any batteries connected to these inverters are still located on the DC side, despite it being possible to charge them from the grid.
When applying for permission to connect this system to the grid, with the largest unit being 10kWh it’s actually possible to connect a single 10kWh hybrid inverter with 4 x 6.3kWh batteries under the lower grid application scheme of G98.
Currently the market for 3ph hybrid inverters is hardly saturated, with only a few of the major brands offering genuinely considerable solutions. Despite being a relatively early release in the grand scheme of 3ph storage, the SolaX 3PH hybrid range come equipped with an impressive array of features.
