Sungrow Inverters EU Law Compatibility 2019 Issue
As announced, since End of April the new EU low voltage grid regulation is valid and has to be transformed to national law by the EU countries.
In the same way as the other inverter suppliers, Sungrow has also been faced with technical challenges due to this regulation. In their case most current inverter types unfortunately cannot be updated to the new requirements, it works only for the SG60´s and SG80´s.
The actual Sungrow Inverters do not conform!
All other previous types do not conform to the standard. Sungrow therefore no longer supplies the devices to Europe. Already some types are completely sold out. The new device types, which again conform to the standards (e.g. SG33CX, SG40CX, SG50CX, SG110CX), will not arrive at the European warehouse before the end of July.
We would also like to point out that only Sungrow’s own provisional certificates for Germany are available for the new inverter types. We have already requested certificates for the European/international sector from Sungrow. These should be available by the time the equipment becomes available at the latest.Sungrow
