Following a Government report, the following bits of key data have been highlighted:
- Domestic Consumption up 4.5%
- Transport from Petrol down 2.8%
- Transport from Aviation down 14.2%
- Overall Energy Consumption up 1%
As we can see from these key statistics, domestic energy consumption has risen sharply, whilst travel consumption has gone down also. These kinds of changes are likely to continue into the next quarter and beyond, with many reconsidering commuting arrangements, given the new openness to working from home.
